This is the left side of the QSL card from the Voyager 2 Encounter with Uranus. It shows the stunning view that a future visitor would see as they were preparing to land on the icy surface of Uranus’ moon Miranda.
The right side of the QSL card shows Voyager’s narrow-angle camera image of Titania, one of the large moons of Uranus and the description of the club special event. The images below are of the rear side of the double width card.
See the March, 1986, issue of “W6VIO Calling” for photographs of club personnel operating during this special event. Then go to the NASA Voyager 2 Mission web page for more detailed information and the NSSDC Uranus Photo Gallery for many high quality images taken during the encounter.
